When my parents were still alive, I often caught them talking to family and friends wherein they would proudly refer to us (their children) as their trophies.
Looking back, and knowing my own circumstance now (being childless), I wonder when I will ever refer to someone as my trophy.

It just dawned on me earlier today that the college kid that we are sponsoring just finished the second year of Engineering program at the De La Salle University (Manila).

Many months ago, I have written about our decision to sponsor and send a college freshman (Computer Engineering program) to De La Salle University in Taft, Manila. He started last May and is now on the second term. As you know, they have three terms every school year in that university.
