Grasse is both the historic and contemporary capital of perfume and it offers a contrast to the dolled up hill towns of the French Riviera. One of the highlights of our visit to Grasse (touted as the most fragrant town on the French Riviera), was a stopover at the Fragonard Perfumerie. Promenade des Anglais is the celebrated four mile seafront promenade in the Mediterranean in Nice, France. Because of my husband’s aversion to boats, I had a chauffered van pre-arranged for us on our day tour in St. Tropez.
