Shopping Day

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 6:48 pm

Where did I go yesterday? I went shopping! Not for me, but for my husband. I’ve been meaning to go and get him several button down shirts to add to his summer wardrobe, and yesterday was the perfect day to go for the hunt. So, what did I get? I got him several Calvin Klein’s, shirts from his staple brand Ungaro, a Cerruti 1881 belt, some athletic socks and a pair of shoes for work (the brand he requested me to omit, as he is too concerned he’s going to be branded as the “brand conscious hubby”). Well, these are my choices and I’m taking responsibility, but it’s a promise so I’m going to keep it.

For Your Eyes Only

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 7:39 pm

Summer is almost here, are you ready to face the glaring sun? Bring out those sunglasses, or better yet get new sunglasses to protect your one and only pair of eyes. As you very well know, sunglasses are not there only to look good, they are made more specifically for protection from the sun’s rays. Who can possibly head out in the summer most specially, without sunglasses?

What about if I tell you, you don’t need to break the bank to get free designer sunglasses. Yes, I’m not kidding, you not only get free sunglasses; you can also avail of a free chronograph watch, all you have to pay for is shipping. Check out AlternaEyewear.com, your source of Viper and Vanquish sunglasses so you know what I’m talking about.

Cell Phones Haven

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 5:36 pm

I’m grinning ear to ear because I just stumbled upon an online site where you can get cell phones for free. It’s indeed perfect timing, as my cell phone needs to be replaced badly. You see, I’m still using a three year old LG camera phone. It has the basic features and it has been my constant companion since then. I noticed though, that the battery went so quick. I don’t know if it’s the way I use and charge or that’s just the way the battery is made. My husband has an identical unit as mine, and his is even worse, as the screen had already turned blurry.

So, with this discovery, I checked out their free phone offers, and boy oh boy, I couldn’t stop drooling. They have a very wide selection of cell phones including the Sprint Instinct phone, the first consumer-centric phone equipped with EV-DO Rev A, considered as the faster version of the 3G cellular-wireless technology. It looks neat and high tech.

They also have family phone plans, which is what we always get anyway. The only problem is, if my husband insist as he always does, he might go for the Blackberry, as he’s always said in the past he would want a Blackberry for his new toy. I will just be happy with the Motorola W385 for it’s classic style and functionality. But before anything else, I guess, we’ll have to thoroughly check what we can really get that’s good and affordable for as long as our provider is Verizon. We’re used to the reliability of their service. For good measure, I will have to read up on the latest about cell phones at the bestincellphones.com blog before we make that final decision.

Compare Before You Shop

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 11:30 pm

Are you on the market for a digital camera? If you are, you must know you need to compare digital cameras that are out there in the market before you make a decision.  Not all digital cameras are created equal. They are now loaded with a lot of different features. You can get a simple one, to something that has all the bells and whistles.

I would definitely compare digital cameras if I were to buy one now . The comparison can be narrowed down on how I intend to use the digital camera for. Prior to visiting this site, I didn’t know that there are specific digital cameras best used for portraits, special occasions, vacations, sports and even for underwater activities. All the while I thought, you can practically use the same digital camera for every single purpose, as they all take pictures anyway. Little did I know the result is better if you have one that’s intended for it’s sole purpose. If I were to compare digital cameras by myself, I would probably just be thinking about their megapixels, nothing else. Well, don’t laugh at me, please. At least, now I know and I’m better informed.

Do We Need A Body Fat Monitor?

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 10:35 am

Health and fitness buff are no longer just counting calories. They make sure to be on top of their weight fluctuations and monitor their body fat. That’s why nowadays, you not only need a weighing scale, you also need a body fat monitor.

That being said, not all body fat monitors are created equal. As it is, I have noticed that the best body fat monitor available are presented according to its potential user. It’s good, because you’ll never have to guess whether it’s made for men or women or for fitness. They have reviews and you can compare body fat monitors as they have a product comparison section. All the pros and cons of a product are laid out, how to use a product and even the best store to buy it from.

Now, I’m thinking, do I and my husband need a body fat monitor at home? Maybe. As is, we only have a weighing scale in the bathroom. Maybe I should consider getting one.

The Wise Shopper

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 5:03 pm

I am a confessed shopaholic, and I’m not denying it. The one good thing though, is that I know my limits and I’m not an impulse buyer. Whenever I hit the mall or glued in front of my laptop shopping online, I’m, on a mission and I’m out there to shop. I don’t go home or log off empty handed. That said, I am always looking out for discount coupons such as free shipping, free work platforms and no sales tax deals online. My husband is aware of my strategy, and that’s the reason why I can shop when I want to.

One online store that I frequent is eluxury.com. And at BestOnlineCoupons.com, I just saw an online deal where I can save as much as 70% on designer handbags. I am just blown away with the projected savings. Oh, and would you believe I can even get coupons to use on purchase of my favorite coffee, Gevalia. I tell you, I have been a Gevalia customer for years and I’m so glad I will finally be able to save up on my purchases by using coupons. Last but not the least, and the most exciting deal I’ve found are online deals from one of my favorite stores: Bloomingdales.

With my latest discoveries from BestOnlineCoupons.com, I can proudly say I am a wise shopper. With their site updated regularly, I will never run out of new discounts and promotional codes to use every time I shop. The service is free and I can log on anytime to search for deals before I hunt for merchandise on my favorite online stores.

Shopping Galore

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 11:57 pm

I must say that no matter how big a shopping addict I am, I make sure to find ways and means to get the best deal. That being said, I am always on the hunt for Discount Promotional Codes, which of course amounts to big time savings. Who won’t want to have such a good deal, right? That’s why my husband can’t really complain much because aside from the fact that I also shop for him like his favorite Under Armour Heat Gear Full T-Shirt that he uses at the gym, I also look for discounts all the time. This is one of his favorite gym outfits, by the way.

Most recently, I was able to avail free shipping when I ordered a Marc Jacobs eyeglasses from eluxury.com. The full amount of shipping cost waived all together is a substantial amount of savings. The year round availability of shopping deals and discounts at 1-coupons.com makes it for a lot of online shoppers like me to really want to shop more. There’s one thing that I haven’t really bought online yet ever. And that is shopping for footwear. With the sweet deals I could get for a pair of Mephisto, I might as well try and get one for the first time.

Condado, Isla Verde

I had a ball going to this shopping area; and Frank’s pocket was really drained hahaha. I spent a lot of time at the last two stores I’m posting here (Louis Vuitton and Gucci). I could have spent the whole afternoon here when we went last Thursday if not for the cloudy condition and we were afraid we were going to get caught up in the rain. I felt bad that my shopping was interrupted because it didn’t rain after all. Sales tax in Puerto Rico is a little bit less than New York at 7%, so you can just imagine the happy camper in me. I went back to the hotel smiling ear to ear despite the interrupted shopping spree.

Do You Smell Shopping?

Filed under: retail therapy, travel — juliana @ 9:05 pm

I found some of my fave brands here. It was a pleasant surprise for me, although I know that it may not be that pleasant to my husband’s pocket haha. So far, he has not complained. As you very well know, I am not one compulsive shopper, but I definitely have no remorse even if sometimes I make him break our bank account (bad girl, sometimes  ). Anyway, I’ll just let you see what’s here, as shown on these pics. They are not all in the San Juan area I heard. There are more shops somewhere not far from the Ritz.

Check This Out

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 9:35 pm

Psst, I just found a fabulous source of exotic and sexy lingerie. The selection is extensive and you’ll find virtually anything in every size imaginable. Yes, even plus size women. You wanna know the place? Go online at YumDrop.com, a fun online portal where “part-time” naughty girls and women could find sexy lingerie at a price that anyone can afford. But wait, they not only carry lingerie, they also sell underwear, swimsuits, sexy shoes and even sexy costumes. The site is user friendly, and the products are presented by category so it’s easy to navigate around.

I must tell you though, that every single item that they are selling online, is a real feast for the eye. They are ultra sexy in design, and with all the trimmings and embellishments on each item, you can see that each product was well thought of and designed with an end in mind, that whenever a girl or a woman wears the merchandise they feel sexy with a “naughty when you wanna be attitude”.

Had I found this portal earlier, I would have wanted to get a sexy swimsuit in time for our Caribbean vacation on Monday. I’m normally a “one piece swimsuit” kind of girl, but with all the sexy swimsuits they have, I am now reconsidering going back to two piece bikinis. I haven’t wore a two piece bikini in a long time. Summer’s not even here yet. I may not be able to get one in time for our trip, I will surely browse again, in time for the long summer.
