I am really disappointed. Just when I thought my journey to reclaiming one closet in the house is finally coming to realization, my husband has put off auctions of his collectibles (mint, graded Sports Cards) on eBay.
We have sold quite a number of Sports Cards the previous months, and it has been good. I was so happy that he has been pulling out these collectibles from the closet so I can take photographs, which I’ve been doing on a staggered basis. It just dawned on me today that, it’s been weeks since the last eBay sale. He has been caught up with work lately, and he simply has no time to write the product descriptions and what not. If I was knowledgeable about Sports Cards I’d probably volunteer to do it, but I have no idea about them at all.
I’m getting frustrated because I have been really looking forward to the day when I finally get this whole closet to myself. This is the second closet in our bedroom; and right now, we are sharing the walk-in closet which is actually big enough for us. I know, it will take years before I can finally fully reclaim it but every single piece that comes out of there gets me closer to my objective.
In the meantime, I will have to wait. I’ve been waiting for eight years anyway, what’s another eight years?

Yes, I just can’t write enough, right? It’s the husband’s new passion and I’m all for it. Just an update about this business venture: he just closed a sale on one of his sports cards and it’s by far the highest priced he’s sold since he started selling on eBay.
This is good…. I’m smiling ear to ear. I’m getting closer by the day, on my dream of one day reclaiming that one closet, that’s at the moment filled with collectibles.

Just an update…
The listing on eBay is really doing great. To date, we have 6 bidders and 8 watchers and we have quite a few more days to go before bidding ends.
This is good enough for the husband to get another batch of items to list within the week. I am the official photographer and I’m now done with photo shoots. I think I’m getting better with close up shots because this time, I got the seal of approval from the boss immediately. No re-takes!
I’m just thrilled. He’s really into it.

I’m so happy, we have another listing on eBay. All I can say is that the husband is on a roll and he can’t be stopped. I’ve been waiting for this to happen in years. You never know how I have been secretly wishing for him to start selling his collection. I know the collection has been kept long enough and now are very valuable for him to reap some big gains.
You can just imagine, I’m smiling ear to ear. My cherished closet space will take loooong to be turned over, but I can wait. No matter how long it will take for that closet full of collection to be emptied, I am optimistic I will gain control of it. That is, if he won’t start buying again, because sometimes he tells me that he has the urge. Like the way he has been mentioning about that collectible record set for $295 he has been eyeing. Yeah records, that’s totally another story in itself because he’s got hundreds of them in boxes at the corner of our coat closet. My husband loves to collect, can’t you tell? Oh, and he’s got coin collections too. Clutter? Definitely not. For him those are his treasures. I better keep my hands off them.

Finally sold the Sports Cards hubby listed on eBay. Again, it was another successful sale. I can’t believe my husband is just so “into it”, that he already has another batch of Sports Cards ready to go on the list.
I will have to take pics of these cards again. I hope this time, I’m going to do it right the first time. My first batch of pics was rejected by him, that’s why and it took a while before I could get it done right. Picture clarity is very important especially because they are graded and mint cards.
