Play Casino At Home

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 10:12 pm

I remember the old days when all you could do if you want to play casino, is to go to the casino no less. With the   advancement of  new technology, it’s now possible to enjoy casino in the comfort of your own home. You don’t have to sacrifice and go trough traffic to get there, and the best part is for non smokers not to endure the second hand smoke anymore as you’ re engulfed with that in most casinos.  Nowadays, online casino can be accessed on the net, no less. I must admit though, that I haven’t tried online gambling yet, but my Uncle who lives in San Francisco loves it. Ever since he retired, playing casino online has become one of his past time. If you ask him what his favorite, he says he likes the video slots/online slots  the most, and his favorite resource for online gambling is at Gambling-Forum.com. The site apparently gives valuable information and links to the best  online casinos. Besides, it is important to him knowing that customer support is available 24/7.

His children prefers that he plays online rather than take the trek to  Las Vegas just like he used to do when he was younger. They have peace of mind knowing he’s safe playing at home.  I think I have to agree with them. Nothing beats enjoying your favorite online slots on your own PC, as long as you want.

Challenging!?

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 10:58 am

Okay now, this one is a revelation. While I’m not that sporty at all, the result is telling me to try tennis and racquetball. I’m not totally surprised though because I have always been interested in tennis, but the closest I’ve gotten to tennis is playing table tennis when I was still in college. Running and weightlifting is way too rigorous for me. I am going to  stick with walking for now. It’s fun and it feels good.

Your Fitness Type: Challenging

You often find exercise to be mundane and too routine.

You need to be continually challenged and pushed.Try exercise that has a potentially competitive element - like running or weightlifting.

You also may like taking on a partner in a fast paced sport like tennis or racquetball.

Free Coffee

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 7:13 pm

I totally forgot to write about the freebies I’ve been getting from Starbucks. In fact, I’ve been getting it for a little more than a month. You know what it is? Of course, it’s none other than iced Starbucks coffee, no less. The deal is I have to go there on Wednesdays only to claim my 12 oz. (tall) cup of iced coffee. The nearest one by us, is a Starbucks drive thru which is very convenient.

I got the card form one of the newspapers and I’ve been presenting it and going there since to avail of my free cup. The bad part is, the promo is now over. It actually ended last July 23. It was definitely good while it lasted. I hope there will be another round of such freebies. Anything free is good, do you agree?

Promo Items That Work

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 5:35 pm

Branding is key to running a successful promotion and with that said,  there’s a brand behind every promotional effort. Why do companies run such effort? Because in sales and marketing, it has been widely proven that running a promotional campaign via extensive use of business promotional items work. The achievement of the set bottom line and increase in the market share of a particular brand is what all business owners aim for.

My corporate sales and marketing experience taught me that working with reliable suppliers that produce high quality promotional business items is imperative. Yes, marketing professionals do mind the costs but over the concern for budget, it is the quality of such item that helps create the image of the brand. In the end, if your business promotional item is junk, running a marketing effort negates the objective. It doesn’t pay to have promotional items that will only ruin the brand image. That is the reason why suppliers like the S & L Promotional Group have a pool of satisfied customers that go to them over and over for their business promotional item needs.

If you’re a marketing professional, don’t just do it, do it well  in order to achieve not only the business objective but also to keep or create the image that your brand deserves.

Yellow Flower

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 11:59 pm

Earlier today, this was what my camera captured in my little garden.

Now, I have no idea why I have this flower because I’m supposed to have planted an okra. Or is this really the flower turning into the okra I know? I haven’t planted okra before that’s why I really don’t have an idea how the flower looks. All I know is that, when I saw this I was shocked. Whatever it is, it’s beautiful!

Unusual

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 10:43 am

Surprised? Yes, I had to drag myself out of bed early today, because there are tons of tasks to do. That goes to show that I’m really capable of waking up earlier than my usual time if I want to. It’s cleaning day for me, and I need to get going and start the grueling day. It’s another humid day here in my part of the world, and because of this, even if I so desperately want to run the self-cleaning cycle of my oven, I think it’s not the wisest thing to do. I roasted a chicken yesterday, and because I used the convection function, it created a big mess inside the oven. It definitely took a shorter time to roast using the convection roast function but now it left behind a messy oven.

It’s time to shut off the laptop and get going. It’s early enough, and I can project that I will be done with all my house chores at a decent time of the day.

Monday Musings

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 3:21 pm

I’m back to normal programing finally and I started my day pretty early as there are a lot of things that need my attention. The weekend had me consumed with what transpired and as much as I wanted to go on with my normal weekend life, I was really bogged down.

My supermarket shopping is taken cared of and I’m back for good. An errand to the health food store and the bank rounded up my day today. My 2 pounds weight loss is serving me good, as my capris fitted really well today, no struggles, if you know what I mean. I’m now back for good here at home, and I hope the rest of the afternoon will be just fine. Of course, I still have that planning chore on the side, but that can wait as I am also checking on computer desks for possible replacement of what we currently have.

It’s the start of the work week, and I’m off to a good start. How about you?

Just Not Yet Here

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 12:33 am

You and I must know by now, that not every cable service provider are created equal. In fact, they even greatly vary in the different services they offer and most of all the prices from one cable service provider differs like night and day. Do you have Cox services in your area? If so, I envy you because you’re lucky to have a service provider that  not only provides excellent customer service, you have the name of Cox that is synonymous with quality communication services.

It’s too bad, that Cox is not yet servicing New York. I was browsing through the Cox bundle specials and I was amazed at how the bundles are put together. They are so budget friendly and the services are combined with the customers need in mind. The savings one gets from availing the service bundles are definitely hard to pass up.

Oh well, for now I simply have no choice. I just hope that sooner than later Cox will service New York so I will finally get to enjoy the Cox packages that many current subscribers are enjoying. I can’t seem to take the fact that they are now getting that big savings on their service fee every month from their high speed internet, phone service and  digital cable. It would be great if they will start servicing the New York area before the digital switch by February next year. I heard that they offer  a variety of  money saving packages to ensure you still get a high quality service even with the switch. All I can say  is: ” Cox, do you hear my plea?”
