We had a long day last Saturday. Since I’m not a morning person (which I’ve been trying so hard to change but…), it’s always a struggle to kick myself out of bed when we have early appointments.
A dental appointment booked six months ago was in our schedule. It had to be attended to, you know, the usual biannual prophylaxis. Though we were there on time, we were at the dental office longer than I would have wanted. When you have been going to the same place for quite sometime, and you’re way too familiar with everyone, the process tends to slow down a bit.
Then, who would have thought we were going to run into a couple (church friends). Yup, our shopping at Whole Foods took a bit longer too because they were there and we couldn’t just say hello and run away. Good thing we were not going to see each other again later that day because they were headed to a party.
It was a pink kind of day! Do I look so juvenile? I hope you don’t mind.
After mass, we headed to Top Thai for dinner. Again, it took longer for us to head to the restaurant because of parking. Street parking can be really scarce here in the Big Apple. Why we didn’t go to the nearest municipal parking was a big question.
Starbucks has now become part of the Saturday ‘routine’, so off we went. This time, I opted for outside sitting. Though temps were already significantly lower at about 9 p.m. it was still comfortable.
