No, it wasn’t exactly a Saturday when we went to ‘Filipino town’ here in New York. Our Sunday that week was scheduled to accommodate a trek to Woodside specifically to the Johnny Air Cargo office to send a package to a dear friend. It was not a perfect Sunday weather wise, a tad cool and threatening clouds abound. We were lucky however that it never really rained, it was just windy and cloudy.
I didn’t have enough time to explore. We wanted to head back home because we didn’t want to get caught in the rain should the storm headed our way. It never came, so we had a nice Italian dinner at Papa Leone after a relatively traffic-free journey back home.
I specifically requested to be photographed with the Red Ribbon Bakeshop in the background. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy anything from the shop because it was crowded and there was 10-people-deep line for check-out. I didn’t go for my usual hoarding of Pinoy goodies either. I’ll have time for that, maybe soon, when we hit the biggest Pinoy Supermarket in the North East in New Jersey. I can’t wait!
