Born

When a new season rolls in, it can only mean one thing. Shopping! But then again, if you tell my husband about this, he won’t even agree, only because I shop anytime regardless  – the season  changing or not.

In the middle of Spring this year, I bought a pair of knee high Frye boots. That was not really called for, but because I snagged that lovely pair with  a substantial discount, that purchase was justified.

Now,  Fall is about to come, and I saw this pair of Born (Post) mule (some people describe it as clog) by accident a few weeks ago, as I was waiting for my husband while he met up with a work associate in the area where I happened to see a Marshall’s. I walked in and went straight to the shoe section. Knowing how I don’t have the patience to sort through the mountain of shoes (it’s the norm in this store), I was not expecting to walk away with a pair. In fact, I made history because this is the first pair of shoes ever that I got from a store like Marshall’s. I normally gravitate towards the home section when I go to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and the like, but knowing that I had a very limited time, I just wanted to “play around” the shoe department.

I was lucky to snag this pair (the only pair in my giant shoe size) for a song.

They are so comfortable! This is my first ever pair of Born, and I think that this won’t be the last. I wished I would have bought from this brand sooner because I consider them as comfort shoe, just like my Mephisto(s), only that they are way cheaper.

“They are handcrafted and sculpted and every pair of Born shoes employs Opanka construction wherein the upper sock lining and outsole are hand sewn in one single process. This results in surround and rebound comfort that feels different from every other shoe in ones closet.”

Another brand is added to my shoe wardrobe. Call it obsession, but that’s just the way it is.  I love being a woman, do you?

  • I’ve always loved clogs. I remember my first which I bought from Happy Feet when I was still in high school. These look very nice and comfy.
marie´s last post… Happy Cream Puff

  • I just found out about Born on a home shopping network. I didn’t buy any because I decided to wait till next spring to buy shoes since I would wear boots this winter. But they were raving about the comfort of Born shoes. I think it is funny that I run into someone that is also raving about their comfort. LOL. I am glad you found some you love.

I didn’t know that they are also sold on shopping network. this was a really great buy. this will be perfect for early Fall here in NY.

trust me,you should try them. if all their shoes are made this way, there’s nothing not to love about them. I think your feet will thank you.
