One of the first things I did when I retired this summer was sign up for a pottery class. I had been dying to do it for so long, but always made excuses about not having time when I was working. It ends up that I probably should have done it after work to beat out some pent-up frustration.
One night when we were working on making coffee mugs, I was working on forming the handle when the teacher was giving tips about that. I had trouble hearing her, which surprised me because everyone was pretty quiet and deep in concentration over their handles.
After that I did some research on the cost of hearing aids and ended up buying some hearing aids in BROOKLYN near my brownstone. My skills have improved a little over time and I’ve made some great gifts for friends now that I can understand the techniques the teacher explains a little more.
The beginner class is wrapping up in a few months and I think I may sign up for the next level.
