I’m grounded not by choice but by force! And it is highly likely that this will be through Saturday. New York is for the nth time getting clobbered with snow, and this time it is the heavy wet kind of snow. Meteorologists described this storm - a very powerful but unconventional storm with snow, rain and strong wind.
It has been very hectic here in my corner, hence, the lack of updates. The storm forced me to cancel my series of appointments all over town. My system has been shocked for the past few days because I haven’t been out as much in this wintry weather. And being outside for a series of days is no fun if you’re not used to it. The only fun part is that I got to see different areas here in New York without driving.
Today, since I was home, it was but fitting to accomplish tasks here at home that was waiting for me. Aside from household chores, I was also able to finally confirm our booking for Lea Salonga’s upcoming performance at The Carlyle from March 9 to 27. My husband became a Lea Salonga fan since her Broadway days (Miss Saigon in 2001 and all the other Broadway productions) but we regretted missing her when she performed at the Carnegie Hall. It has always been my other half’s dream to see her perform in a smaller venue and this upcoming performance at the Cafe Carlyle is perfect. Maximum seating capacity is 90.

As instructed by my ‘boss’, I got VIP seats with dinner to get it confirmed. Without a dinner reservation, seats are not confirmed and wait a day before your preferred day to watch, to get confirmation.
Tons of tasks are still left unattended. But with the snow storm, I ‘m optimistic that I will be able to accomplish them all. I better, otherwise, they will pile up and will never be able to catch up because next week will be another week of discovery and excitement.

Hope the snow storm is over and you can enjoy your cool weather. It’s so hot here in Singapore!

@ jenn
the storm is over. it’s good the weathermen’s forecast was wrong again. they have initially thought it will linger till Saturday morning.
the husband is more excited than me. that’s why he is willing to fork over his hard earned money for VIP seats and dinner to ensure confirmation. otherwise, kung ako lang yan eh kuripot ako, I would have waited and pray we will get the VIP seats.
Grabe si F! Die hard fan na talaga ni Lea no? I’m sure you will have a blast kasi the venue is small lang so it’s going be an intimate affair.
Ako eh walang ganang mag blog at mag hop. I’ve been here kaso hindi ako nag iwan ng foot prints…ganon ako katamad….hahaha.
Enjoy the weekend. Off pa ba si F?
