Blizzard!?

I thought I was dreaming when I picked up the phone yesterday at almost noon and I was still in bed. I hastily grabbed the phone on my bedside table, as I was almost sure it was my husband who was on the other end of the line. Was I right. Soon enough he was telling me about packing up an overnight bag for him to bring to work today.

What? I almost fell out of  the bed, his statement fully woke me up. The potentially heavy snow and near blizzard conditions that will hit our our area from midnight of Tuesday into Wednesday night is the culprit.

With the incoming snow storm, he is willing to check in a hotel near his office just so he will have no difficulty getting in to work on Wednesday. What a dedicated man! Yes, the expenses incurred will be shouldered by the firm but with his remote access at home, I see no reason why he needs to do it. In short, he can work from home but he does not find it conducive enough. The man needs a home office that is highly equipped like he has at work!

What now? No, I didn’t pack an overnight bag. Blizzard or not, he has to be home tonight, and he will work at home through his remote access for the next two days. Period. No questions asked.

  • ewan ko ba, blizzard nalang kahit saan! my cousin based in Washington, D.C. was supposed to fly to Phils yesterday for a 2-week-vacation. but the blizzard canceled her flight and rescheduled it into tomorrow giving her just a week nalang to spend in Phils. kakainis! and i pity her! now that’s a funny thing of you to not pack anything for the hubby. I think i would do the same, too. dito rin, it’s been snowing since yesterday with gusty winds pa (this is natural though in this part of the world, lol) until tomorrow. i so pity my hubby who has to leave for school as early as 7am. i though classes will be canceled kasi nga snow in the ground keeps accumulating. kaso natural na natural lang daw ito dito eh. i’m lucky i don’t have to go out daily. but poor hubby talaga and the rest who have to work outside the house!

  • Hahaha…wala bang nagawa si F? Oo nga naman…if he can do the work at home why go to work if a blizzard hits. Besides, it’s only for a day or two.

So the forecast is really that bad? Dito sa amin naman ulan isang araw, clear sa susunod, tapos ulit the next day….baliw noh?

Ingat dyan. I’m sure you’re well stocked up so kahit di ka mamalengke for a week or so you’ll survive.

grabe nga masyadong dedicated. akala siguro istorbo ako hehehe.

yes,we are braising for a real bad storm and they are again talking about another possible storm on Monday.

How was the blizzard? Was it really as bad as they predicted?

Stay safe!

Very conducive pa kasi ang weather.ha ha ha! No questions asked!” ha ha ha.. sounds familiar!
Gano ba kasi kahirap kapag may blizzard?

    Good night J!

  • nakalipad na finally pinsan ko. kaninang 11am dito yung departure nila from john f. kennedy. grabe, na-detour talaga sila. they drove from washington d.c. to new york just for the flight and so they very well braved the storm. it’s too bad kasi 2 weeks lang yung vacation nila to pinas, and because of the storm, magiging 1 week nalang. anyhow, she’s thankful they’ve finally departed.

hala Tita B, hindi yun takot, baka mas type pa yun na lang ang trabaho hahaha. oh di ba, if it sounds familiar that means hindi ako nag-iisa.

blizzard is treacherous. heavy snowfall plus more than 4o mph wind ang hirap kayang maglakad nun. ako ng aeh 25 mph lang natatangay na ako. if you ever get to experience it, I wonder if you want it another time.

that’s good to know, at least they got a flight na. I commend them for taking the trek by land dito sa NY. I can imagine the navigating on the parkways they may have done to get here.

  • Oh I’m sure hindi sya takot dun sa “ibang work”, perhaps ang magiging takot nya is yung hindi nya completely maharap yung office work nya. Tama ka J, ndi ka nag-iisa!ha ha..
Katakot naman pala yang blizzard na yan! Grabe!

I didn’t use make up naman or anything that time. Bad day talaga! At least normal na sya ngayon.

Salamat sa time, J! See you again!
