Prior to my very first visit in the Big Apple, I have always dreamed of one of those fabulous New York holidays carefully planned and prepared for by a renowned travel professional. I thought I will never get the realization of that dream until one fine day in September 1995, I found myself walking through the maze of avenues and streets of the big city: Manhattan. At that point, I have already traveled/visited many Asian countries, and I thought that there was no better gateway to the United States than New York. I fell in love with New York right on my first hello that I almost canceled the second leg of my vacation(2 weeks in Hawaii).
It’s been almost fifteen years since that first visit, which was followed by many holidays to New York in the succeeding years predictably during late Summer or early Fall. Needless to say, it was the allure of shopping that always made New York my favorite travel destination apart from the fabled landmarks, museums as well as Broadway.
But as fate would have it, I now live in the greatest city in the world; in fact, I’ve been here for eleven years. Who would have thought I would meet my future husband on one of those holidays?
I’m sure that any travel buff out there would agree with me that travel planning is not an easy feat, more so if you are headed to a place for the very first time. Yes, for the lucky ones, there may be a second, third or even fourth visit to the same destination. But I strongly suggest that a first-timer who is planning to visit the Big Apple, better be prepared to spend his duration of his stay à la holidays New York style all the way. That will ensure that he will have a great time and enjoy everything that New York has to offer. Take it from me. I have done it exactly the same way on my very first visit. Tiring but I enjoyed immensely!

You’ve met your husband pala Sis when you were “holidaying”? Interesting!
Thanks nga pala Sis for dropping off a comment at my blog. Nakakataba naman talaga ng puso.
Lest you forget Sis, you were one of the pioneering blogpals I had when I started out my blogging journey and my IDOL at that
