Thanksgiving Day… My Way

In the middle of the hustle and bustle that  this very important day brings, here I am hog-tied in our own home by choice. Call me indifferent, but today, there’s no better place to be at… than home.

I don’t miss waking up way too early on Thanksgiving Day as it has been in the years past. I don’t miss being forced to comply and do what I have to because it’s dictated, and most of all, I don’t miss trying very hard to please everyone to keep the peace.

It’s liberating, and I can’t be any happier. Thanksgiving Day is a sacred day for me, and whether I celebrate it  the  customary way or not, I will never fail to express my gratefulness for the shower of blessings that never fail to keep coming my way. Life has been so good and I can never ask for anything more.

From my family to yours…

  • Good for you that you are taking Thanksgiving feast lightly. I’m glad we don’t observed such tradition here. Looks tiring eh! We are always grateful for all the blessings we have anyway. Some Malls here are starting to adopt the said tradition though. For commercial purposes maybe?!

    Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you!

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! You’re right…no other place better than home!
