Best Gyno Visit Ever

Absolute luck!!!! That is how I felt two days ago when I finally got a slot to see my Gyno. And I guess, luck was on my side because the Doctor’s visit yesterday was a record breaking NO WAITING kind of visit.

I signed on and I was just walking back to settle in the reception area when the receptionist called out my name to ask about my insurance details. She made me fill out a form, and I handed her my insurance card. After she made a copy of my card I headed back to take a seat. For good measure, I brought along with me one of my magazines so that I have something to read should I wait for a long time just like old times. Was I surprised, I nearly jumped when I was just starting to flip the cover of the magazine and heard my name, as the medical assistant was right by the door waiting to usher me in.

This experience does not happen all the time. This is really an exception in the history of this Gyno office. I was done in no time. What is great is that, the ultrasound and physical check was okay and the Pap result will be available in two weeks.

Just like many women out there, I also don’t look forward to an annual Gyno appointment. I see the Doc because I have to. That is why when waiting is eliminated, it makes this torture (yes, I consider it torture, because who would want to get dressed to go to a Doc and undress) more bearable because waiting for an unpleasant event is even worse.
