It’s time to thaw those frozen cooked foods stored in the freezer. My cooking holiday is in effect since yesterday and I’m loving it, although, I still make fresh vegetables, most of which are just easy to prepare.
I was simply lazy to plan my menu for the week last Sunday, and I came up with this brilliant idea of finally going back to those previously cooked foods that are in the freezer.
Off I went to my usual supermarket shopping yesterday without a shopping list. Liberating, I must say and I had a lot of fun going from aisle to aisle. I have to admit, though, that I ended up buying stuff that would have not found its way on my shopping cart should I have had my shopping list.
All these years that I’m supposed to be cooking for two, I never really cooked for just two. Knowing that my husband is a foodie, I always ensure that there’s enough food, in fact, way more than enough. Thus, I always end up having leftovers. This is the first time, though, that we are eating frozen leftovers for a whole week. In the past, I’ve always managed to integrate leftovers but because of sheer laziness, we are going to have them for four consecutive dinners.
I cook four nights a week. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are restaurant food days for us. When weekend comes, my husband takes over and he gets to choose which restaurant to go to or to take out food from. This arrangement has thus far been working good for us for almost ten years.
I can’t wait for Friday!

That’s usually what I’ve been doing here in the house. Weekdays, I cook daily. But on weekends, I’d rather eat out or request hubby to order from a resto. Syempre naman, we want to have some good rests din di ba?

oh my, if it’s only feasible to send them over, I’d be thrilled to do so haha. In as much as I really don’t want to have leftovers, bawal magluto ng pangdalawa lang. baka manlaki ang mga mata ng aking ‘amo’ at akala ay tinitipid ko LOL.

Medyo mas maaga ako today…..still busy with work. Naghahanda lang ng hapunan then back to work ulit. My laptop came back today. They didn’t replace it with a new one but they replaced a lot of parts. Actually ayaw kong i replace nila kasi I have softwares I need for work that I don’t want to re-install….laking dusa nung huli kong download.
