If you have been following this blog, you must be already aware about my recent issue about a plagiarized blog content. I have written about it here, here and here. It was surreal reading my original written article (copied word for word), a paid post at that, on someone else’s blog. My efforts to have this issue taken cared of, and the criminal to once and for all be made liable for her misdeed is finally realized. The fact that I’m not her only victim only goes to show that many of us, bloggers, could have been unknowingly victimized by the same criminal already.
Thus, I’m thanking Juliana of Pinay WAHM, for passing this very timely meme on to me. Most of all, I’m extending my sincere appreciation to Cee of Living A’ La Mode who felt impelled to start a meme to enjoin every blogger to take action against plagiarism.

What is Plagiarism?
According to Dictionary, Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.
To all Bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a Blog which is a reflection of who she / he is, ” Good job! ”
To those who have the desire to Blog but are merely scraping contents from other people‘ s materials, ” Whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money out of someone else‘s work. Otherwise, you are nothing but a common thief! ”

Yes! A post that can be copied!!!
I am a fan of downloading music and yes I use other people’s ads as images on my blog, but I do not see much harm in that. What I do find pathetic is that people have to copy whole PPP posts to make a few dollars, because… come on, guys…. how much does a PPP post really pays? It is not easy to write a PPP that does not annoy readers. So far, I see only a few bloggers with this skill. They deserve the few bucks that they get paid. How sad it is to copy this? If you want to copy, take it from Wikipedia or so, or directly from the website of the product that you are writing about. It you want to be unoriginal, than copy only unoriginal stuff!!!
All bloggers have is their writings, don’t steal it!

Pwede bang mag share ako ng experience dito? naging biktima din kasi ako ng copy cat noon pero hindi ko alam kung pinoy or anong klasing tao siya, pero mas grabi yong nangyari sa akin kasi from title talaga at yong paid post from the beginning to end. Nalaman ko may nag copy sa post ko dahil nag email sa akin yong ppp ang sabi may kapareha daw yong post ko at ibinigay yong link. Biglang nagalit ako that time kasi alam na alam ko na sa akin talaga yong post na yon. Ang ginawa ko nag screenshot ako sa post ko at sa post niya, pati screen shot ng copy scape tapos gumawa ako ng message bali dinugtong ko doon sa paid post na yon bali naging next paragraph doon, sinabi ko sa message na ako talaga ang may-ari ng post na yon kasi 2 days akong nauna sa date eh, sinabi ko pa na check all the paid post of that person I’m sure copy lahat yan. Nag message din ako sa contact support. After mga 3 days pinalitan ng copy cat yong post niya at na trace ko na kinopya din niya yong post na yon sa ibang blog. Pinabayaan ko nalang siya. Pero sa ngayon nawala na yong site niya na pr3, siguro natanggal sa company yong site niya. Thanks for reading my comment…

what a shame that you like the contents of her blogs(both). tons of the articles there are copied from various sources, even the interim posts.
no, I’m not going to resort to confronting her. I have reported the problem to the proper authorities, and she is now denied access to that blogging company. and knowing her she will just shrug it off and delete what she copied. she did the same thing to another blogger, but he exposed her.
the paid post she copied from me is still “live” on her blog. I’m sure she will delete it because she’s not going to get paid from it.

Grabe naman ….pati paid post kinokopya….can’t the advertiser have a way to detect plagiarized content? Wawa naman yung blogger na yun, hindi siguro marunong mag-blog kaya nangongopya na lang. Nag-ambisyon mag-blog para maka-pera hindi naman makasulat.
Why don’t you register for Creative Commons to protect your content but I think you gotta pay something ata for them to do this.

I’m sorry that you can’t understand some statements written here. and no, I’m not hinting, as I have provided enough facts on the previous posts that I have written which you’ll find on the links provided at the first paragraph of this post. you must know that it is hard for me to prevent people from writing their thoughts using the Tagalog language. it is entirely the visitor’s prerogative which language to use.
I’m not the only victim of the copycat. and I never really came out in the open exposing the culprit so as not to impede the investigation because I have sought the help of the paid blogging company from where the paid opportunity came from. the paid post that she copied from this blog is still “live” on the culprit’s blog.
I’m not sure if this : (my situation) is written on a lot of blogs. This meme was originally started by Cee(her link is found above), a blogger whom I have never come across before, but was proactive enough to come up with this meme upon hearing about the incident from a discussion group that she belongs to. this is now being circulated by other bloggers.
to satisfy your curiosity, you can visit this link. this is the blog of the other victim, with a screenshot of the culprit’s blog. the post copied from this blog is pasted on the other blog of the culprit.

it’s okay, no harm done. buti nga, nalaman ng madla. you may want to pursue your case though. you have proof, you captured the screenshot, besides, the affiliate company checks the feeds for verification and if you published it way ahead, (in your case I think you were ahead for a few days) you have a good case in your hands, why let someone get paid for a post that they really didn’t write?

I think it’s too much for them to check everything. besides, she’s playing it smart kasi she changed the title. Copying also the title will send out an alert to the advertiser.
I so wanted to rip her apart by leaving a comment on her blog right off the bat when I read my original work at the same time write a scathing blog post here. but I restrained myself and instead sent out a ticket to PPP. thankfully enough they responded fast.
I was informed already that they have begun the process of taking care of the issue, and that the copied paid post will be taken out of her opp list. And, I understand that she’s been banned. the extent of copy and pasted articles is not only on this specific paid post. a thorough copyspace search reveals tons of interim posts copied from various sources.
I will look into Creative Commons. thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Juliana, sorry this happened to you. I’ve been hopping all over the place this morning trying to get all the details and I did figure out who it was. Now – she was scheduled to advertise on my blog in the next day or so (I removed her) but I have two other blogs with EC I need to check. You said she has more than one blog. Will you come leave a comment on my blog (they are moderated with the URL to her other blog(s) so I can make sure I am not allowing her to advertise on any of my blogs. I will delete your comment and not approve it, so that nobody else sees it.
As a full time freelance writer, it is disheartening to see this going on and it seems to becoming more common place these days. The other sites that are bothering me are the scraping sites (where they actually scrape your feed and it’s multiple blog feeds all fed into theirs…). Whichever way you look at it, it’s plagiarism and it sucks!

Juliana, I just found out who the person was after Tammy directed me to the post, and I’m shocked like everyone else was when they found out. Personally, it shouldn’t matter if it was a friend or not because plagiarism is wrong regardless of who is doing it. That said, I do find it disturbing to know that just about everyone that replied here are very good friends of mine and they knew her, too.
Rest assured that I don’t tolerate it from anyone whether they’re friends or not which is why I’ve had my work copyrighted for a year. I’m glad to see you put that free copyright up, too. I have mine on my Policy link, but will put the banner on my homepage soon.
Also, I know of a few that are friends of hers that aren’t aware of this. I’m not in position to tell them because this is already on the verge of being kicked to the surface publicly as to who is behind it. The truth comes to the surface eventually anyway.
Last, I’m very sorry this happened to you. I know first-hand about the feeling of being copied because my work was attempted to be stolen on two occasions, and the person attempted to make money off of it.

not sure if that paid post at leomar’s was $2. the copied post from my blog was for $6. besides it was not that easy to write that opp if you don’t have any idea about how the stock market works. there was not much details about the opp.
she probably knows that I somehow know what I’m saying because my husband is a wall street guy, and I have experience offhand with managing our stock investments.
I had that same opp in P3 and it was priced between $2.00 and $4.00 and automatic approved for 100 words. She basically copied para makarami kasi unahan nga sa PPP. THere are some opps nga na di ko masulat – sulat dahil wala na akong idea, naglalapse na lang. Para xang express-lane robber sis. hahhahhha! Her friends would really be disappointed. Di ko maimagine maging kaibigan yun.buti na lang hindi.
