Recent days saw me confined at home, but I’m glad to be back on my feet now. I already did a few errands today, the first time I breathed fresh air since Monday, the 9th. Thank you so much to all my cyber friends who stopped by to wish me well on my birthday. I really appreciate you all.
It was rather a very quiet day devoid of celebrations, not even a simple dinner out with the husband. I just took the “rain check” for that dinner valid until I feel like heading out for one. Likewise, the so called birthday gift, it will have to wait because I need to pick what I want from my book of 101 things that he gave me last Christmas. As instructed, for every occasion onwards after last Christmas, his gift to me will be chosen by me, no less, from that book.
I requested him to pick up a platter of the Chef’s Sushi selection for two from our favorite Japanese bistro on the night of my birthday as I had a craving for sushi.

‘Twas a day of many phone calls from several continents that even if I did not feel like talking, I was not going to let our voice mail do the talking for me. I can not be any happier, because every important and significant people in my life remembered my natal day. I feel so blessed and loved!

Meyo kwanchi! Yan lang ang alam ko sa Mandarin…mali pa ata. Hehehe….
It’s always nice to hear from people we love especially on birthdays.
Good to hear you’re back to your old self again [and back to doing errands.....hay ang never ending na errands].
Take it easy…mahirap ang binat!

tomorrow but it will be very windy and cold.
@ schizoshrink

@ grace
thanks so much grace.
@ Joy
Thanks so much Joy. I’ll surely be back, sooner than you think.
By the way, I’m based here in New York.
I don’t think we’ll be back to the UK anytime soon. We just visited Italy last October, and although the dollar will definitely do better now, as far as the conversion to £ we need to replenish for a lot of dollars spent on that trip in Italy. When we went the dollar was at its lowest versus euro.
@ fil-am journey
sushi lover din ako, kahit nga sashimi eh. my husband acquired the taste because of my love for it, dating back to when I was still living in Manila.
yes, we live in NY. malay mo nga, makadalaw kami diyan sa Georgia sometime. I have a friend who lives in Canton, Georgia. They moved from LA, California and bought a house there three years ago.
@ Shiela
thanks so much sis.
@ Rosilie
hey, lalo akong natatakam. aside from sushi, I’m also a sashimi lover. I can just keep eating them. sometimes my friends jokingly tell me, I must have Japanese blood. I have always loved sushi, sashimi and any Japanese food for that matter dating back to when I was still living in Manila.
sige nga, pahingi ng tuna yum yum!
