New Units: His And Hers

After three and a half years, we finally got new mobile phones. My unit has been dying on me for the past few months, but because I’m rarely out of the house anyway, I didn’t mind. It’s only on those few occasions when I’m out doing errands, and my husband is trying to get me on my cell phone and it’s off that he gets irritated. He has been bugging me to head out and get one for ages. With the cold temps I have opted to stay in and not pay attention to his plea.

With Verizon’s 20% discount(c/o the husband’s perks from work) on the monthly charges, we opted to stay with them. Besides, the service has been reliable so far. Thus, we got his and hers identical LG Dare. So much like the iPhone but not quite. If you’re in the US, you must know the iPhone is exclusive with AT & T. Reviews on the net actually branded this LG Dare as an iPhone clone. It has an intuitive touch-screen interface, an advanced 3.2-megapixel camera, a full HTML browser, EV-DO among other features.

His and Hers

Oh, and if only I’m an avid texter, I would love this virtual  QWERTY keyboard:

This would surely make ones texting speed a lot faster. Now, I should start gathering my text buddies so I can make full use of this feature. But honestly, my mobile phone is off most of the time, and I haven’t used any of the added features other than place and receive calls. I should at least try and use the web browser to check on Las Vegas resumes.  Why? Because I have to. I will tell you why in due time.

I’m home almost everyday. Why should  I even have a cell phone to begin with. Much more a cell phone that comes loaded with newfangled things that I don’t even use. What a way to make ones life more complicated (chuckle).
