Finally, We're Getting A Reprieve

I almost forgot it’s a three day weekend. It’s Martin Luther King Day tomorrow, and my husband is off ( one of the days that Wall Street is off). Because of the frigid temps we’ve been experiencing here, it’s been very uninviting to head out the door. But being that the weathermen are predicting the 30′s tomorrow after the string of days of below freezing temperatures,  it will definitely feel like we’re having a heat wave. We might venture out and have breakfast, a quick run to two supermarkets (Asian and mainstream) and finally pick up our eyeglasses that have been waiting for us almost a month ago.

The last time I went out the door was last Monday, and I’m glad I have that luxury. On freezing days like what we just had, I feel so privilege that I have the option to just stay in. I don’t even want to check  the mailbox. My husband collects the mail on his way home from work. That also means, the car has to be started also by my husband on his way home. Call me lazy, but in the winter that is our arrangement.
