@ Bingkee

I used to be like you, I never used to worry about my mid section, eat all I can and can barely get the scale up to 115 lbs at my 5' 5 1/2'' frame. But the middle of this year, it seem like my binging is starting to catch up with me and that is without any exercise. I'm just plain lazy. My husband only goes to the gym twice a week and eats like there's no tomorrow but he is on a very stressful environment all week. I guess, stress is burning all his calories. Lucky you, you're expecting pala. Something I've been wishing for, for ages. I have given up on it after 2 IVF's. Take care!

I think it's about metabolism and the way a man's body is built---more muscles. We also have muscles but lesser in quantity. However if you have a high metabolic rate, your food intake will rapidly transform calories into energy. In my case, my husband has a lower metabolic rate than I do and that is why I don't get fat no matter how much I eat. He only gets to maintain his weight if he goes to the gym. However, for cardio-vascular, I still need to exercise so I do it by dancing hiphop and jazz and doing Pilates. But right now, I am being put into a high calorie diet as recommended by my specialist because of my pregnancy. And no dancing and no Pilates either :-)
