Catching Up On The Eve Of Christmas

At the Christmas eve party at my sister’s house, it was nice to reconnect with a couple whom we haven’t seen in ages. You see, everybody leads a busy life, and it’s only during special occasions like this that we find the time to get together with long lost friends. There’s a reason because it’s the season to reconnect.

As expected, catching up with the latest about our lives was the big thing. This couple have only been married for two years and I can say they have now fully adjusted to married life. They are slowly building a life together, in fact, they now want to start to have a family.

When you’re around my husband, it is not far fetch that at one point in the conversation, the state of Wall Street is brought about. That’s when he started to “lecture” the couple about investments and what not. I was a little embarrassed but the couple was very enthusiastic about the ideas he was sharing to them. We later found out that neither of them have any kind of life insurance. Being that we are both believers in having some form of protection in the form of life insurance, we suggested they should look into getting term life insurance for each of them.

See? my husband’s “lecture” was not a waste after all. In fact, yesterday Christmas day, the wife rang us up to ask for more inputs about insurance because now they are so into it, they are also considering getting an umbrella policy.
