Blame It On The Forecast

My schedule yesterday was altered by the weather forecast. It is definitely nothing new to most of us that monitor what the meteorologists say on the weather channel or our local weathermen. What originally was just a laundry day turned out to be an errand day too. Today, I would have wanted to pick up several necessities from several stores with the husband in tow, as he is taking his last vacation day for the year, but we both agreed I had to do my errands yesterday because of the snow storm headed our way.

So, off I hit the road leaving my folded laundry to beat the build up on the parkway. Rushing out proved to be a futile attempt because I got caught in traffic anyway on my way to Long Island. While sitting in traffic, all I was thinking of was the folded laundry waiting for me to keep and the still un-made bed (new set of sheets needed). If only I managed to get up early, then I would have been fine. The good thing was, on my way home driving along the parkway was a breeze, it was already 7:30 p.m., past the rush hour traffic.

With the snow about to envelope our world here in my part of the globe, my husband and I agreed we will go to the optical shop and brave the storm. This has long been shelved and it can no longer be postponed. It’s the end of the year already, and we should get our free pair otherwise, it will be forfeited. We’ll see how it goes. Are we driving? Maybe yes, maybe not, or we can always walk LOL.
