It was a frigid day yesterday, but that did not keep us from heading out to Manhattan for a scheduled dinner. Greenwich Village was steaming with people as usual. What, with all the night spots around the area, the younger set would not miss the weekend fun. Original plan was for us to go uptown first at the LV and Chanel boutiques but that was scrapped because we were running late. I will take care of that errand myself in the next few days.
We had dinner at Trattoria (the husband’s favorite restaurant within the strip) along Bleecker and had dessert across the street at Rocco’s. It was a fun filled night. The food was delicious as always. The couple we had dinner with is my husband’s long time barber and his wife. When I say long time, you won’t want to know how long, as he has been going to him since my husband’s college days. He is lucky to have found someone that he can work with all these years. Now, my husband is worried because he is going to retire in a few years, in fact he is of retirement age already. He is Italian and he might go to Sicily (he has a home there as well) and retire, but he owns two homes around the States, one of which is the one here in NY and the other one is in Pennsylvania. That leaves him with three options. All my husband can hope for is that for him to choose the two places here in the States.
