I regret not jumping into digital photography as soon as it was widely available. The stubborn me thought, I can continue to peruse my good old reliable Olympus film camera. I figured it was fairly new and I haven’t used much of it yet because we just replaced our old film camera at that time. I could have continued using it, but it came to a point when I felt out of place aiming my camera through the viewfinder with my eyes. I think if my memory serves me right it was our trip to France and the United Kingdom in 2003 when I finally told my husband, that that trip was going to be the last vacation that we use the film camera.
I can’t be any happier. I love my trusty Canon SD 850 IS. Now, I have a collection of memory cards because I don’t re-use any of the memory cards. As soon as there’s no more space, the last batch of shots are downloaded in the laptop and they are labeled and stored in the safe properly.
Thus, I was kind of upset yesterday when we totally forgot to get a couple of spare memory cards. I ensure that I always have a spare at home. It was actually on my shopping list, but confident as I was, I didn’t check my list again prior to leaving the store. Now, I have to make sure I’ll buy one today by hook or by crook.
