From Light To Heavy

The outside temp is dipping down each day. If the weather forecast is right, tomorrow ‘s highs will only be in the 40′s. Winter is really closing in on us, although technically, winter is not officially starting till December 21; well, that is what my calendar indicates.

Is it going to be officially out with the light scarves, hats and beanies and pea coats and in with the heavy down coats, gloves and heavy scarves this soon? Oh and not to forget those thermal shirts and pants. Will layering officially starts tomorrow?

This actually prompted me to pull the down coats and gloves and heavy scarves and what not out of the storage today, into the coat closet and hat bins. I have only taken out the lighter ones when fall started. This, together with meal planning for the next two weeks and check balancing was enough to  get me occupied the whole afternoon.

The Sunday papers are still perched on top of the coffee table(husband is done with them, while I haven’t). And yes, papers, because we get two. I need to flip through even just the circulars tonight. I need to check out any coupons that can be perused for tomorrow’s food shopping.
