Not A Free Day

It’s the weekend, and Friday’s are usually chore free days for me, but it was a totally different story today. After a pile of laundry was done yesterday, what is next? Hours of ironing, no less. Sometimes, I feel like giving in to the allure of just dropping off my husband’s button down shirts to the cleaners, something that I used to do early on but I stopped. Reason being, I was not satisfied with the ironing job. Professional, yes they are, but seeing multiple fold lines on the shirts was not acceptable for me.

Now, I’m slaving off to iron them the way I want it. It probably helps to do it more often so that they don’t pile up on me, but a lot of times I’m just lazy. I just dealt with three weeks worth of shirts and it was definitely not a walk in the park. What about you? What do you do with your husband’s button down shirt, do you iron them yourself or do they get dropped off?
