Getting Ready, Just In Case

We requested  the suspension of our mail delivery while we were away for a few weeks. The reliable USPS, did as instructed. I dreaded to see the pile of mail as soon as they were delivered the day we were back. It meant a minimum of an hour to sort and open everything, and of course not to forget the shredding of delicate but junk mails. There was one catalog on the pile that caught my eye though. It was this:

My husband has been a long time client and we always get their mailers. He loves the convenience of ordering online and the wide array of gift ideas that 1-800-flowers.com offers. Now, you know where my bouquets are ordered from every time. That is assuming that bouquet/vase of flowers is from my husband, of course.

This latest catalog prompted me to check out online, their latest offering for the upcoming holiday. As you very well know, Thanksgiving is coming up and as of today, we don’t have concrete plans yet, but just in case, I host this year’s Thanksgiving dinner, I would really want to have one of those beautifully arranged Thanksgiving floral centerpieces. I know, some of you may be saying, that the turkey is a good enough centerpiece on the dinner table, but not for me. The effect of a nicely crafted arrangement of flowers and votive candles can’t be beat in the midst of all the sumptuous food on the Thanksgiving  dinner table. There’s nothing like it! Do you agree?
