An Afternoon In Via Montenapoleone

I just had to go there, no matter what. It didn’t matter that I know my husband would be one “unhappy man” once more, as I wrote in an article on my other blog. I knew, we were not going back to  Milan again in the near future.

Via Montenapoleone is at the heart of the Golden Triangle, and  is considered as one of Italy’s three great shopping streets, the other two are: Corso Buenos Aires and the Brera District. A walk around the area (Via Montenapoleone) is like walking on the fashion subculture’s focal point.  It was crowded as expected, and I can’t be more awe stricken at the expanse of high end boutiques, one after the other, on that long narrow street.

And, we saw a couple of Lamborghini cars conveniently parked on the side street. I wished there were more of them, as I would have wanted to check out for myself the beauty of different Lamborghini models that originated/based  in one small Italian  village in Sant’Agata Bolognese near Bologna, Italy.

Oh, and this time, my husband enjoyed the stroll around this street. We went from one store to the next, no hesitations from him, until we came across a boutique selling strictly sexy lingerie only. It was then that he told me, he will just wait for me outside. See? He loves shopping too!
