After our morning “appointment” with the Pope, we headed to Villa Borghese, the park created by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in the 1600′s. As expected, the lazy girl in me kicked in because of all the walking that we had to undertake, so I told my husband we were not going to any other area anymore that day.
We explored the park and the nearby National Gallery of Modern Art where neoclassical and Romantic paintings and sculptures are housed. After here, we called it a day and we headed back to the hotel. It doesn’t sound like much, but believe me, the day entailed a lot of walking.

I am pretty sure that water is recycled. I wonder how and where.
