Did I Make A Wish?
You bet, I did. There was no way I was not going to see Trevi Fountain(Fontana dei Trevi), and throw those three coins. Our timing was perfect, as we saw the fountain when there was still daylight, and later on when the lights were turned on. It is such a work of art.
It was very crowded. I almost gave up, as we went through the narrow streets leading to the fountain. As soon as we heard the sound of the water on the fountain, we were relieved because it meant we were close. The sad part about two people traveling is that, there is no appointed photographer. We rarely have photos together, as it would be awkward lugging around a tripod.
After I(the husband waiting by the fountain) went into the nearby Benetton shop( they’re all over the place, by the way), we ended the night with a cone of gelato each. I tell you, there’s no dieting here in Rome, diet pills may well be my only recourse to shed off every single pound that I’m going to gain. We still have a long way to go here and I’m really gaining weight, believe me.
