New York is experiencing its first sizzler today. The first warm day of a a heat wave that will last till Tuesday. That is, if the weathermen are right. The forecasts seem to change in the blink of an eye thus, sometimes I think, there’s no other job that allows you to make mistakes and still keep it. Isn’t it nice to be a meteorologist?
That said, today would definitely have been the perfect time to go bird watching while clad in my Rayban sunglasses. The beach does not appeal to me, as every New Yorker seem to be excited to head to the beach, and I don’t want to deal with the crowd. I can see the crowd from here, as we are close enough to the beach.
Seriously though, we didn’t plan to go out at all. The husband is slaving himself at the gym this very minute. I’m content to be home where it’s comfortable and cool, and typing away in the company of my laptop while at the same time, peeking at possible “buys” specifically a binocular from OpticsPlanet.com for our next destination.
I love wearing sunglasses too during hot and sunny days but I don’t have a Rayban. Mine are the cheap brands.
i’m like you Juliana, most of the time i prefer to stay home & watch TV or DVD instead of going out and join the crowd in the middle of the sun heat, i was never a beach lover.
