What A Day!

Finally the weathermen are right. As expected, I woke up to a dreary, stormy day today. I don’t think the sun will peek at all. You know, there’s no use complaining as we can’t really do anything about the weather. It’s fine with me, as I really don’t have any errands to do.

I’m gonna be home all day, and since it’s Friday today, my kitchen is closed. However, I still have many little chores and one big chore to do. Household chores never really go away. This is what I miss most about being home in the Philippines. While there, you have house helps to  depend on, you don’t really need to lift a finger if you don’t want to. Here, there’s help, but only if you are willing to part with big bucks to pay someone on an hourly basis. That’s why, sometimes I am tempted to just take my husband’s long standing offer, to hire a live-out help. But then, isn’t that shame on me? I’m home already, what should I be doing?

  • you could hire one siguro if you really need to work on heavy work loads. it’s better to pay someone rather than experience hurting muscles :)

  • @ Mari

yeah, it is definitely being considered kasi nga complainer ako. kaya naman siguro bulsa ng financier ko hahaha. but I dread having to train someone to do things the way I want. plus, I don’t want “aliens” roaming around in our home. grabe ‘noh? iba kasi pag katulong, live-in yun, you develop some kind of bonding over time.

  • Hirap talaga dito dahil walang katulong. I always tell hubby that I don’t used to cook and wash dishes in the Philippines. But I have no choice here, walang katulong kaya kelangang matuto at gawin ang di dating ginagawa.
