A tastefully decorated bedroom makes for a restful sleep. I have always believed this. Thus, it was very important to me when we had our place renovated to get a competent designer to help me conceptualize and put together my dream home, so to speak. Some people opt to have their living rooms, dens and kitchen/dining rooms decorated properly and forget about the bedroom as this is not where they entertain their guests. I was not going to do this and never will, if ever we buy and move to another home again. Our bedrooms are equally properly decorated as well as the rest of the home.
So, where do you begin with bedroom decorating? You and I believe that the focal point in a bedroom is the bed. Thus, it is but fitting to have a coordinated and high quality bed ensemble. Me and my husband absolutely adore luxurious high thread count, heavenly soft bedsheets. And this is the reason why we stay at “nice” hotels whenever we travel. You’re out on a holiday, so why scrimp, right? I tell you though, luxurious beddings come with a high price tag. And if you are not willing to compromise your comfort that you are used to, you would simply bite into it.
If you are resourceful enough, you don’t have to pay astronomical prices to get them. With the easy access of the world wide web, online portals like Beyond-Bedding at http://www.beyond-bedding.com/baan9pcinqua.html, offers high quality yet affordable beddings for any bedroom in the house as well as your nursery. They are not called Beyond-Bedding for nothing, as they also cover baby clothes as well as window treatments. One merchandise that got my fancy was this beautiful 100% cotton floral crib bedding that’s guaranteed to fit all cribs and toddler beds. Don’t ask me, but I’m drawn to baby stuff even if as you very well know, we don’t have a child. It’s probably that secret longing still running in my veins. I just adore the Baby Anabel 9 pc. De Luxe crib bedding set. It’s so gorgeous, the colors are very well coordinated and soothing to the eyes. I specially like the idea that it’s already a complete ensemble presented on a zippered carrying bag with handle. The crib quilt, bumper, fitted crib sheet, crib skirt and diaper stacker are included. But wait, they went even further by including a decorative heart pillow and two window valances to complete the look of a well put together nursery. And don’t be surprise if I tell you, on top of all these, a cute toy bag is added as a bonus which is great for holding toys, bottles and even stuffed animals and can be conveniently hung by sets of ties. These sound like a lot to have in an ensemble, and you must be thinking this must cost a fortune, but it’s not, because Beyond-Bedding source their merchandise direct from the maker and pass on their savings to their customers. This baby crib ensemble is non allergenic, machine washable and made by Jojo Designs, a fabled brand in Europe but now made available here in the US by Beyond-Bedding. Oh, and there are related items that complement this design such as wall hanging art decors and even a lamp shade.
Just between you and me, there’s tons of beautiful and affordable stuff for your bedroom and beyond on this portal. If you check it out, I’m sure you’ll agree with me.

The day started nicely, and when I say nice, it was sunny and no hint of any bad weather about to come. Guess what, by midday, our world was suddenly enveloped with dark clouds, followed by roaring thunder and heavy downpour. Who would want to get caught up outside in such kind of weather? I feel bad for the beach bums because when I woke up at 10:00, the beach was kind of crowded already.
As it is, we had to cancel our plan for the day. After all, on a day like this, what could be better than staying inside the comforts of your home.

A European holiday has always been much sought after by a lot of people. Having been to Europe myself, I must say, yes it is indeed a great destination and yes, there are still a lot of countries left to explore and cover. One place that has gotten my curiosity is Portugal, which is located in Southwestern Europe and west of Spain, which brings me to the idea of maybe combining the two countries; sort of hitting two birds with one stone.
I heard that the best time to go to Portugal is in the summer although many still prefer to be there in the spring and the fall. Personally speaking, I wouldn’t mind going there at anytime of the year, and make Lisbon, the largest town as our first stop. The city boasts of a rich cultural heritage by the remarkable museums such as the Gulbenkian Museum, to name one, those renovated palaces and majestic churches. While in Algarve, a tour to the vineyards to enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting would be a nice treat. And who would want to pass up on getting pampered on one of the most luxurious spas around, such as Spa Floresta. Why not, if you’re already there on a luxury Algarve holiday. I have noted in my research that Rocha Brava rental villas are affordable yet luxurious. The idea of having a self catering accommodation sounds good, as you won’t compromise your privacy. Taking the sights of the lush greenery while on top of a cliff is so refreshing. Right in the center of the Algarve’s Atlantic coastline is Guia. Just lying back or taking a stroll on one of the serene beaches spells pure bliss. Of course, staying on one of the luxury villas in Guia will round up a nice holiday. And when I say luxury, they really are luxurious, you will surely get your money’s worth. If a totally modernized fully air-conditioned villa with a heated pool sounds good enough for you, then you are with me.
It’s great to imagine, right? But being a seasoned traveler myself, I am fully aware that everything starts with sheer imagination. Your imagination inspires you to make a go for it. And that’s why I have already been to a great number of both local and international destinations in certain parts of the world. My travel addiction which started when I was still single has taken me to places I never thought I would ever see. Would you wanna travel with me?

The weekend is here. It was a short work week, it went so fast. How are you going to spend your weekend? I hope the nice weather continues, as it will be really nice to enjoy a stroll in our nearby private park (we have several parks to choose from that’s part of our development). Or maybe, finally head out( a mere 15 minutes walk if you’re slow) to the nearby beach? So far, I have just been content watching the beach goers. It was swarming with people last Memorial Day weekend.
Where are you headed this weekend? Wherever and whatever you’re doing, enjoy!

New York city is my home. Not that I’m in the middle of the action which is Manhattan, but I live close enough thus, it’s part of the five boroughs of New York City. That said, even with the current slow down in the housing market, New York has been holding up as the demands for homes and apartments as well as condos are still high. You should see, the quantity of current state of the art and modern high rise and mid rise constructions around my neighborhood, you can’t help but ask, why are the builders and developers doing such projects? These are mushrooming around our area. As compared to information I gathered from Scottsdale Realtors, prices of properties in Scottsdale have come down. There’s a lot of fine properties that I saw online that are to die for. If Arizona living is inviting to you, this is the best time to go for it.
The prices of properties in the area where I live still range from $250,000 to $1,000,000 depending on the size. The change of prices is not sizeable if there is even a change since the meltdown of the housing market.
Is this good for property owners like us? It sure does, as you’ll never know when your urge to sell kicks in.

I can’t resist posting this same award, as this time it’s given to me by Tet. Thanks so much sis, for this wonderful work of art. As I have previously mentioned, I love this art, so I am going to break the rule, this will have to stay with me. Not that, I can’t pick blogs that are a mixture of good artistry, excellent content and creativity, as there are tons of them out there. It’s just that, I’m a rule breaker. Sorry about that Tet.

The rules of this tag are as follows:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of “Arte y Pico” blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

Which do you think is better, having a bad credit history or not having any credit history at all? Neither of the two, but if I was pushed to make a choice, I’d pick the latter. Why? Because it’s not that easy to fix bad credit and it’s so much easier to establish credit. Here in the United States once your credit history is marred, everything is affected and your way of life is compromised. It’s as good as saying that your credit score says a lot about you, unlike in other countries where credit history and credit scores are not in existence and monitored; credit is given based on your ability to pay which is more often than not tied up with how much you’re making.
Here in the United States, it does not work that way. That’s the reason why, we should be diligent in taking care of our bills, even as simple as paying utility bills. Furthermore, a wise choice of which credit cards work best for our needs should be the kind that we avail of. It pays to know the different credit cards that are available out there. Remember, not all credit cards are created equal. There’s a specific credit card for every need or situation, so a visit to CreditCardsClub.com is imperative, so you can read up on the different choices. Helpful articles and links to financial institutions issuing credit cards can also be accessed, so it makes it a lot easier to decide should you opt to avail of one.
Making the most of one’s credit card is important. There are Cash back credit cards that give you just what it says: “cash back”, as well as other different credit cards such as low interest credit cards, business credit cards and gas rewards credit cards to name a few. Whichever credit card, you may opt for, just put in mind that getting accorded a credit line is a privilege, it’s not a reward, so you have to be responsible in order to keep it.

The LA Lakers are going to the NBA finals and someone is giddily happy. It’s such a nice way to start his weekend. For some reason, he is a big Los Angeles sports fan, as he also adores the Los Angeles Dodgers, the baseball team.
He should be living in Los Angeles, don’t you think? But no, he lives in New York, a true blue New Yorker, as he was born and raised in new York City.
That’s none other the man of the house : my husband. No matter how stressful his week was this week, he’s such in a good mood no one and nothing can spoil that. See what a ball game does to a big time sports fan?
