I have the choice to declare whether it’s cooking night or not. When did I get this privilege? About a week and a half ago, since my childhood friend passed away. I was accorded this option by my husband because he is very well aware of what I’m going through.
So, earlier today, I already told him to get himself ready for one of those quick meals. I went to pick up macaroni salad from the deli and he will have to pick which “quick meal” he wants from my inventory in the freezer. As always, he is not complaining and he understands. I’m not in the mood to slave myself in the kitchen tonight. I’ve made dinners from scratch the past two nights, and I figured tonight we’ll have to make do with something quick.
I think, this marks the official start of my weekend
.

it is always good to have a choice. in my case, it is always no choice.lol. otherwise, four people will be complaining in unison…

Doing the same routine everyday is tiring and boring. It get into my nerves sometimes esp. the cooking and cleaning up the kitchen. Hindi sanay si lola kasi sa Pinas di ko ginagawa ‘to.
@ Hailey
hey, let them complain. you have the right to say “not today”.
@ Lisa
same here, that’s why it was a big shock to my system. i’m used to it now. I love my kitchen, need I say more? haha.
d naman kelangan everyday slaving over the meal. Sometimes you just don’t feel like cooking. There’s nothing wrong with a “quickie” meal.
