On Car Loans

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 6:38 pm

Our car is about to turn five years old. Oh, and by the way, we don’t call our car, “car”. It has a name, I named her “Cordie”. Is that funny? Anyway, Cordie is still a baby, with only 11,000 miles on it. Whenever I bring it to the dealership for service, if it’s a new Service Advisor that receives the job order, they can’t help but be amazed on how few a mileage Cordie has ran.

When a car is that old, normally most people start looking into possible car replacement. With that comes the shopping for excellent Car Loans. Nowadays, online car loan service is the most convenient way to shop for car loans. One online portal is BestLeadingLenders.com, where even those that does not have the best of credit can still avail of an auto loan with very competitive auto financing rates. Shopping for a car loan need not be time consuming. That’s why BestLeadingLenders.com offers instant online processing of car loans so that your auto loan is approved even before you head down to the car dealership. It’s a lot easier to deal with that car salesman when you already have a pre-approved loan. You have a better leverage in bargaining, to get the best price for that dream car. Applying online is free and without further obligation, so you should check it out.

Do People Like Me?

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 6:14 pm

This is it. I warned you, I’m really hooked. I can’t stop taking these tests. I’m discovering a lot about myself. Do you agree with this one though?

People Definitely Like You

You are very well liked, and many people admire you.
You are friendly, well mannered, and fun to be around.Of course, you’re not perfect… but that’s okay.Your friends are usually willing to accept you for who you are! What People Like About You:

People like that you’re interesting and intriguing. You always have something interesting to say.

People like that you give them support and strength. Friends know that they can count on you to be there for them.

People like that you truly take and interest in them. Everyone likes to be liked!

Do People Like You?

If you don’t agree, I don’t know what to say. Maybe, I’ll ask my other friends (not my blogger friends) to confirm. But then again, if they don’t agree where will I go? huhuhu (sigh).

I Confess

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 6:01 pm

There is one decorative item for the house that I can’t get enough of and this is my confession. These are scented candles. You’ll find them in all the rooms of our house and that is including the bathrooms. They are beautiful addition to a tabletop/shelf or counter top palette. In the summer, they are also outdoors in our balcony. As we are very close to the water, I feel the summer breeze is enhanced with the scent emanating from the scented candle. And when I’m cooking, it has already become a habit that I lit scented candles in the kitchen. Oh, and my love for candles doesn’t stop there. I also love to give them as gifts. In fact, personalized hurricane candles with matching scented votive candles were given away as party favors when we got married. The guests loved it!

That’s why, when I came across JoyousCandle.com and saw these Esque Candles, I knew I found a new source of scented candles that not only look beautiful but also very elegant and unique. Just see for yourself.

You won’t even think it’s a candle. What I love the most from this collection, is the Esque 6 inch Wheat Vase candle. It promises a glorious soft golden glow while the candle burns. I just love the shimmering swirls of gold that spun into rich hues, which create a delicate web of color inside a blown glass globe. What do you think?

Dreary

Filed under: musings — juliana @ 5:24 pm

The weather here in New York is so unpredictable. I thought I would wake up to a decent weather, but I was wrong. I didn’t see the sun all day today. It was dark and dreary with few showers in between. The temperature is not spring-y at all. It’s almost the first day of April and we’re still in the 40’s. Weather forecasters are predicting that tomorrow it will be rainy and the temperature will rise to about 60 degrees.

I certainly hope it will be warmer but I don’t know about the rain. What a way to start a brand new month. But as we all know, we can’t run away from the rain in April. Oh, and by the way, just to remind you it’s April Fool’s Day tomorrow. Will you get suckered in to a trick? I guess, I’ll just stay home so I won’t be a victim and be a nincompoop haha.

Baby Dreams

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 5:07 pm

There’s not a lot that can be had for free in this world we live in. Two things that we can do without having to worry about having to pay any fee, is to dream and imagine. If you have been reading my blogs for a while, you must be aware, that having a baby has been a long time dream for us. Sad to say, Mr. Luck hasn’t smiled at us though, even with the most advance aid money can buy.

That said, I can’t help but imagine holding a baby in my arms sometimes. Even more so when I come across websites that sells everything for babies. One thing that caught my eye is a designer baby sling. At SlingLings.com, they have a wide array of designer baby slings not only for moms but also designer baby slings for dads. They look so cool, and being able to snuggle your baby in five different positions, hands free must be a welcome treat for fussy babies and great for active moms and dads. The one piece design makes it easy to wear. Oh, and it comes in different fabrics in gorgeous designs.

Please don’t laugh at me. As I said, I can dream freely and for free.

The rest of the nation is finally catching on: babywearing is one of the most natural and intuitive ways to care for babies.

And Seattle’s Slinglings.com, a home-based three-year-old company run by Sara and Stephen Gower, is one of the most innovative baby sling businesses out there. The company has more than 10,000 pouches in stock and ready to ship.

“I started by making a few slings to carry my son around the city. People were so interested in the pouches that I started making more to sell locally,” said Sara. “The reception was so phenomenal that my husband and I started our Slinglings website and from there, the business just took off.”

All of Slinglings’ pouches are sewn by Seattle-based seamstresses and can be ordered in more than 80 fabrics, some of which were designed by Stephen himself. A line of 12 designer prints, 5 of which are exclusive Slinglings’ designs, was just added to their collection.

Another feature that sets Slinglings apart is its interactive sizing tool. By entering height, weight, bra size, measurements, or any combination of these numbers, Slinglings’ advanced sizing calculator recommends a sling size based on the feedback of more than 15,000 previous customers.

“From the beginning, we’ve collected sizing statistics. We’re always adding to our database and it’s resulted in an incredibly accurate sizing tool,” said Sara. “It takes the guesswork out of ordering pouches.”

Babywearing, an art practiced for centuries, allows parents to resume their usual activities like walking, socializing, cleaning, and cooking while their babies get the incomparable benefit of close contact with their caregivers.

“Wearing my children has been one of the best parenting choices I’ve made,” said Sara. “I’m so fortunate to be able to bring that same experience to others.”

Slinglings offers competitive pricing—prices start at $36.95– and welcomes all wholesale inquiries.

What Kind Of Thinker Am I?

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 4:38 pm

Haven’t I told you, I think I’m getting addicted to these fun quizzes. It’s entertaining me, can’t you tell? I find it amazing as I get to discover things about myself that I won’t otherwise pay attention to.

Your Thinking is Abstract and Sequential

You like to do research and collect lots of information.
The more facts you have, the easier it is for you to learn. You need to figure things out for yourself and consider all possibilities. You tend to become an expert in the subjects that you study.

It’s difficult for you to work with people who know less than you do.

You aren’t a very patient teacher, and you don’t like convincing people that you’re right.

What Kind of Thinker Are You?

Go ahead, check it for yourself.

Which One?

Filed under: retail therapy — juliana @ 8:19 pm

I have been eyeing to replace the vertical blinds of our picture window in our living room. It’s been taking a while for me to decide what kind of window covering to get as I really want a totally new look. Right now, I’m considering to get cellular shades that’s totally going to block the light because we get the morning sun in abundance year round. Easy installation is important because, as I mentioned in the past, I am the handyman here. The husband can never be relied on with such tasks. If I can get discount Roman Shades, I might change my preference. Blackout Roman Shades made of richly loomed fabrics would be my ultimate. It will for sure add more texture to my existing fabric draperies. What do you think? Tough decision to make…

Do You Look Forward To Mondays?

Filed under: musings — juliana @ 7:57 pm

Tomorrow is the first day of the work week. It’s never been an exciting day for me, because I know I’m gonna be left all alone again. Staying home is tough, especially that  it bothers me I have no one to talk to. And this is the reason why I prefer to sleep in half of the day. That way, I only have the other half awake and I won’t have to worry about  the fact that there’s nobody around.

Silence is good sometimes, but if it’s deafening silence it can drive someone crazy. My Mondays are almost always spent at the supermarket. That is my routine week in, week out.  What about you?

Phone Cards Haven

Filed under: daily chatter — juliana @ 7:41 pm

Ever since I moved here, I have always been on the hunt for reliable yet cheap phone cards. I specifically mentioned, reliable because there’s tons of cheap phone cards out there, but they are not all reliable. Especially during the holidays when everyone seem to want to make phone calls to their loved ones, you can get stuck with un-reliable cards that won’t deliver the specified minutes of talk time as stated. Worse, your calls are cut-off and all the more lost those precious minutes.

PhoneCardsAvenue.com, is the source of affordable international phone cards. You not only get a reliable service, you can also avail of their recently launched 3% cash back rebate program, wherein you get 3% cash back of every calling card or phone card purchased from them. Isn’t that clear savings? If you’re like me; a natural chatter box on the phone, you’ll really get more for your money. You chat while you get back.

fun quiz for myspace profile and blog

Do I believe this? I think, this one is so true. Besides, I went ahead and take another fun quiz because as Crystal commented, she tried the lucky numbers and gamely used such numbers on a lotto bet, and some of her lucky numbers came out.

Whatever it is, there’s nothing wrong about paying attention to such. This was another amazing find. Why not check yours?
