Bits and Pieces

It’s been a busy day today, as I found myself slaving in the kitchen all afternoon. Culprit? I was ambitious enough to make kare-kare from scratch. I really didn’t intend to make it from scratch but I had no recourse because the Asian Supermarket nearby ran out of the kare-kare mix. I will share my ambitious expedition in the kitchen for sure, but not on this post.

My ‘no Christmas tree ‘ decision is creating quite a stir on some of my readers. I tell you, if you are in an inter-racial and mix religion marriage like I am, you will understand my decision. I don’t see the need to explain to anyone, though.

My post titled: Gift Cards is my sole opinion and belief. If I don’t share the same  opinion with some or maybe a lot of people, then let it be. I just find gift cards too impersonal thus, giving it for Christmas all the more strengthen the fact that the world has just become more materialistic. For me, if ever I do give gift cards for any occasion, it’s solely because I don’t really know the recipient too well. I’m just fulfilling a social obligation.

I’m done with my Christmas shopping.  Gifts I bought from department stores are carefully stashed on the closet and I finished my online orders last night. Greeting cards for those on my list in the US are now made and  just waiting for the right day to mail them. The cards for overseas have been mailed December 3rd. Everything is now pretty much covered.

What else? Ah… I’m tired, it’s now time to hit the sack.
