Another eBay Listing

Filed under: online biz — juliana @ 2:14 am

I’m so happy, we have another listing on eBay. All I can say is that the husband is on a roll and he can’t be stopped. I’ve been waiting for this to happen in years. You never know how I have been secretly wishing for him to start selling his collection. I know the collection has been kept long enough and now are very valuable for him to reap some big gains.

You can just imagine, I’m smiling ear to ear. My cherished closet space will take loooong to be turned over, but I can wait. No matter how long it will take for that closet full of collection to be emptied, I am optimistic I will gain control of it. That is, if he won’t start buying again, because sometimes he tells me that he has the urge. Like the way he has been mentioning about that collectible record set for $295 he has been eyeing. Yeah records, that’s totally another story in itself because he’s got hundreds of them in boxes at the corner of our coat closet. My husband loves to collect, can’t you tell? Oh, and he’s got coin collections too. Clutter? Definitely not. For him those are his treasures. I better keep my hands off them.

Broadway is Back

Filed under: musings — juliana @ 1:58 am

Just glad the Broadway strike is over. Performers are gonna be back tomorrow or if I’m not mistaken even this evening on the theaters. Tourists were so happy as they were given the chance to grabbed really cheap Broadway tickets at $26 each. That was a steal considering the prices they go for originally.

All’s well, that now everything is back to normal,  just in time for the holidays.

Light Dinner

This was last night’s dinner: broiled flounder fillet and grilled yellow and green zucchini. After all the binging we’ve been doing the past few days, I prepared something light and kind of “healthy”.

This ended my kitchen adventure for the week. I won’t be cooking till Monday.

Call It A Day

Filed under: just me thinking — juliana @ 2:11 am

I’m done for the day. It’s time to take that much needed sleep. Tomorrow is another early day for me, as I have to do the laundry. This is one chore that I prefer to do early on in the morning. I’m crossing my fingers I’d be able to rise and shine early as I’m planning to. I wanna be well rested because I’m determined there’s not gonna be any laundry mishap tomorrow. I am not going to do another costly mistake by ruining another set of beddings. Promise!

Brighten up Broadway

Filed under: musings — juliana @ 1:10 am

Let there be light on Broadway. The strike is still on and it’s been like this for three weeks. The back to back negotiations between the Producers and the Union seem to be deadlock. C’mon people, what seem to be the big issue? Everybody’s losing. It’s just sad, that New York City tourists are being let down. Some may only come to New York just once in their lifetime and they are denied the chance to see a Broadway show. After all, a visit to New York is not complete without a visit to Broadway and of course, see a show.

It’s the season to be jolly. Please be back on stage and let the fun resume on Broadway.

Lincoln Center

Filed under: just me thinking — juliana @ 10:56 pm

Here in New York, it really is now starting to look like Christmas. Tonight, the Lincoln Center Christmas tree was lit. The window displays of department stores along Fifth Avenue are already up too. Wish I have pics to post, but I got none for now. One day, when I take the trek to Manhattan, maybe I’ll be able to snap some pics so I can post some.

Some areas here in Brooklyn are also now adorned with Christmas lights. Somehow, seeing these decors reminds me of home where Christmas is celebrated with enthusiasm and the whole country just gleam with the beauty of those sparkling lights.
